Acrylic on canvas, 40x40 cm, unframed, sides are painted, ready to hang.
The story behind this is, my friend in Vienna has a local flock of crows coming over to her window, and one of them was particularly interested, involved in building a relationship, coming along after hours, chatting, calling my friend and even knocking on the window sometimes. It would just hang around and often just sit and wait when my friend looked out, to say hello. This is it’s portrait, and, as it was a particularly hot and bright summer this year in Vienna, it would be just natural to bring an ice cream to your friend, even if he’s just a human animal, that doesn’t understand much.
those colours are called to represent the after images in your eyes, when you are looking out to the bright, hot sunny day for long. Also, I was thinking of the summer sport style of the 80th I think.
